Giclée Printing

Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay", is a neologism coined in 1991 by printmaker Jack Duganne for fine art digital prints. The name originally applied to fine art prints created on IRIS printers in a process invented in the late 1980s but has since come to mean any high quality ink-jet print and is often used by artist, galleries, and print shops to denote such prints.

Traditional prints are produced as editions in the offset printing technique which is a 4 color process using screen built contact printing. The Giclée process uses over 20 colors in a dotless sprayed method that has incredible resolution and accuracy of pigment and textural matching. All materials used are archival to ensure the print's longevity.

Own Your Own

Now you can own a signed print* of any number of images off the Eloqui site. The paintings marked with a "P" in a brown circle, indicate which ones are available. With new state-of-the-art printing methods, it's possible to create on-demand prints. The archival printing technique offers the highest quality print you can find with rich, accurate colors on acid-free paper, replicating the originals to exacting detail. Also, with on-demand printing, your individual print wasn't printed years earlier and sitting in storage. The print is made-to-order directly from the artist's studio, so it can quickly be placed in archival framing or storage for safe keeping.

How To Order

skipjack printPlease contact us via email or phone at which time your print will be ordered. Allow two weeks for delivery. Prints are shipped rolled, wrapped in acid free tissue. Additional shipping charges outside the U.S.

Standard print practice is to reproduce the artwork at the same size as the original. That may be perfect, or perhaps a perfect size to fit a particular space. A mini print may work in that small space or perhaps an oversized print for a dynamic impact. Virtually any size is possible up to 48" wide.

*Prints from our galleries are open editions and come with a certificate of authenticity for your records and resale. Your print is signed by the artist but not numbered. Each print is priced individually based on size, so please contact us if you are interested in a particular painting. Since we do not advertise print sales, edition sizes are generally low and sold to only to select collectors.certificateprint
